Wiertz Company was founded in 1997 and is an all-round HR service provider, active in the world of people and work. Wiertz Company is built on the values of a close family business, based on the Rhineland philosophy: doing business with an eye for continuity, the long term and based on partnerships. The company, which is still owned by the Wiertz founders, originated in Limburg and has grown into a leading partner in the Netherlands.
Wiertz Company is a strong growing organization, with besides its digital solutions, 19 physical branches in the Netherlands, Germany and Poland. At Wiertz Company, 120 permanent employees and over 4000 flex-employees work for over 700 employers on a daily basis, a carefully composed mix of experience and talent. Our board
Wiertz Company is characterized by professional governance. This consists of three equal pillars: shareholder-supervisor-management. These pillars provide balance and the firm foundation.
The three-member board consists of Mariska Geven, Leon van Giezen and Niklas Wiertz. Mariska Geven is ultimately responsible for Area East Netherlands, Leon Giezen for Area West Netherlands. Niklas Wiertz completes the management team and, as COO, is the second generation within the family business. Niklas is also one of the shareholders within the family.
For 2024, Wiertz Company is heading for a budget of 100 million euros. In the coming years, the organization wants to further expand its sales level through organic growth and acquisitions. Organic growth will be achieved within new segments and new areas but also along the path of digitalization.
The Supervisory Board (SB) is the statutory and legal supervisor. The supervisor has three main tasks: giving solicited and unsolicited advice, the statutory tasks such as approving the budget and investments, the employer role for the Management Board. The latter role includes appointing, suspending and dismissing the Management Board.
The Supervisory Board consists of Ralph Kerres (chairman), Constant Jurgens, Vivian Mengelers, Willemien de Jong and Dionne Wiertz. The latter is also one of the founders, shareholder and first generation within the family business.
The shareholders of Wiertz Company are the founders of the company and their three children. The shares are placed in the joint company Wiertz Family and this company also acts as the parent and holding company for Wiertz Company. The shareholders are Harm Wiertz, Dionne Wiertz-Buck, Niklas Wiertz, Martijn Wiertz, Willeke Wiertz. Harm Wiertz started the company with wife Dionne Wiertz in 1997. He currently chairs the shareholders and acts on their behalf. The shareholders monitor the continuity of the organization. They have a decisive voice in formulating the long-term vision. The shareholders monitor the proper functioning of governance and they appoint the members of the Supervisory Board.
