Supply Chain Scheduling Specialist
Decides what, when and where to supply raw materials for the manufacturing sites in their scope of work. Balances supply and demand over the operational horizon, to achieve optimum raw material availability, asset utilization and supply chain efficiencies.
In this role, you will require conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures as well as having general business knowledge developed through education or prior experience related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for understanding.
It is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyze and resolve standard problems. You will be accountable for assigned contributions with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance impacts your own work with limited impact on your team. You will need to use established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Wat ga je doen?
- Generates a time-phased supply schedule to fulfill business requirements in the short-term, while considering plant wide constraints, and meeting inventory and service targets
- Determines and/or executes the most effective regional or global sourcing rules.
- Collaborates daily with manufacturing colleagues and production planner to manage the evolving supply demand of raw materials.
- Works with raw material suppliers and Dow’s sourcing function to or execute agreements already in place.
- Routinely checks and tracks inventory quantity, slow-moving or other inventory statuses and ensures that inventory volumes meet the plan
- Identifies, prioritizes and addresses supply issues (e.g. short-term capacity constraints, product shortage, emergency customer order received, uncovered production requirement, etc.)
- Leads collaboration with production planning, manufacturing, logistics, third-party service providers, sourcing and business partners to meet business obligations in case of unplanned events
- Ensures proper maintenance of production parameters (material masters, work centers, routings) to ensure effective planning
- Follows best practices, procedures and governance over master data
- Supports supply chain initiatives by interfacing with other supply chain personnel in the business and shared services
Wat kun jij?
- Education at higher vocational level
- Required: Fluency in English
- Preferable: if there is some experience in any integrated supply chain role previously
- Preferable: ability to navigate SAP
